March 5th Meeting Cancelled

The Needle Artisans General Meeting for Tuesday, March 5th at 7 p.m. has been cancelled due to the winter storm (aka perfect stitching day). The Nametag/Bookmark workshop will be rescheduled for the 2014 program year. Please advise our class registrar, Janet, if you plan to attend the This-N-That workshop on Saturday, March 16th at 9 a.m. or the Bargello on Canvas class scheduled for the May 7th general meeting. A kit must be ordered for the Bargello class this week, so please let us know as soon as possible. Cost is $11.00 which can be brought to the April 2nd general meeting. Linda Rinkel of House of Stitches will be our guest at the April meeting. Thanks for your understanding.

February's Class  - Challenge Ornament

The challenge will be made to those who have signed up for this chapter program.  At the February meeting you will receive your “kit” along with the instructions for the challenge.  You will be required to use some or all items in the kit.  The rest will be explained by ReneeR + PamS-Y.  Completed ornaments will be revealed later in the year – all at the same time.

Cost: $9

Registration deadline is January meeting.

The January general meeting of NANI will be Wednesday, January 2nd at 7 p.m. at the Munster Community Park Social Center, 8751 Lions Club Drive. The meeting was moved from the usual first Tuesday because of the New Year's Day holiday. NANI will resume the monthly first Tuesday schedule in February. January's meeting features the BIG REVEAL of the 2013 Education program and activities. There will also be a show and tell, fellowship stitch-in, and refreshments. So bring a project and join in! Visitors are welcome!

Hello NANI friends,

Because I have not received any interest in carpooling to the Frankfort Fall Festival this Saturday, the carpool which was to meet at Meijer in Highland at 9:00 a.m. has been cancelled. Those of you going on your own have a wonderful time, and the rest enjoy this holiday weekend.  See you all Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m.  as usual for our general meeting at the Social Center of Munster.

We have fliers available (hope to have copies at NANI meeting) for publicity. Please print them out + take them to your local library, craft store, needlework store, or (e-mail) hand them to people who might be interested in hands on instruction.

We have volunteers, with supplies, to demonstrate cross stitching and willing to teach the public/visitors the basics of counted cross stitching. Also, will have punch needle demonstrations - allow the public/visitors to give it a try.

While supplies last, we have patterns, floss, needle books available for the public to take home with them. Planning to have floss cards with our EGA Chapter information and brochures for people interested in our EGA Chapter.

Additional volunteers are welcome, contact Karol J or Carol P if you are willing to lend a hand!
