Entries close on July 13, 2012. Both copies of your entry form and $12.00 exhibitor's ticket must be at the Secretary's office by 4pm.
Exhibitor's tags will be available for pick up July 20th, 9-4.
Exhibit check in: Saturday, July 23, 8am - 7pm
Open House Thursday, August 2nd from 7-9pm

Look what landed in the Post Office box ....
The Open Class General Exhibits
Rules + Regulations.

Also, I noticed a separate category for Needlepunch (507 b.)
Lots of categories for needlework in Special Occasion (any Holiday, Special Event), Wearable Art, Home Decorating Articles, Embroidery section has 'crewel', Needlepoint entries for canvas and plastic canvas. Counted Thread Work includes samplers,framed pieces on linen, evenweave, aida, up to 8x10 -- over 8x10. Also category for items not suitable for framing, huckweaving, hardanger (category for OTHER), combination of techniques, and OTHER (smocking, tatting, latch hook, etc.)
Looks like a lot of categories for entering our projects! No entry fees.
Get your booklets out, gather your projects + start filling in the form!!!
Premiums: Per the booklet "Ribbons + premiums will be awarded for the first five placings as deemed worthy by the judge. Judges shall not award prizes to unworthy exhibits."
1st place $5.00 + ribbon
2nd place $4.00 + ribbon
3rd place $3.00 + ribbon
4th place $2.00 + ribbon
5th place $1.00 + ribbon
(checks given out when items are picked up)
Exhibits will be received on Sunday, July 15, 2012
from 12 noon to 6pm -- Exhibits will be released
on July 28th from 8-10pm or Sunday July 29th from 9-11am.
Pre-registration is requested by July 13, 2012.

Please be reminded, NANI volunteers needed
for Friday, August 12th from 10-3:45;
Punchneedle and Cross stitching Demonstrations
As was announced at chapter meetings
and noted in newsletter,
NANI members will be demonstrating
cross stitch (maybe surface stitching)
on needlebook covers.
The patterns are acorn motifs
(thx Marjorie).
Supplies will be at the fairgrounds
(donations of tapestry needles
+/or floss in Autumn colors appreciated).
In addition to needlework demonstrations,
we would like to invite the guests at the fair
to attend our chapter meetings.
We will have handouts of free patterns
(for punch needle and surface embroidery)
and floss cards with NANI information.
Stop by for an hour or two,
stay the entire day!
