Please note, you do still need to provide your member id number to be able to register during this special member only time!

They're lining up at the starting gates!

Early registration for EGA Seminar 2013 opens on November 3.

Go to the EGA website, www.egausa.org, log in and click on Events, National Seminars, and National Seminar 2013. This takes you to where all the class descriptions, photos and other seminar information may be found.  You may also click here once you log in!

After reviewing the classes and you're ready to place your "bet", click on the Registration tab on the right hand menu, scroll down and click on "Event's invitation link" and that will take you to the online registration.

If you prefer to mail your registration form by USPS, see the link at the bottom of the Registration page to print a form and information.

Don't be left in the backfield, early registration closes on November 17. Your online registration must be completed by that date or your form must be postmarked by that date.

Note from HQ

New Website Announcement
 
EGA Members,

Over the weekend we upgraded our website to allow for more functionality and benefits for our members!  We hope you enjoy the new look, feel and features on our site! 

The biggest change will be the member log-in area.  Each member now has a unique USER ID and password.  This will allow EGA to offer online classes and other member specific content.  To login:

User ID is your membership ID # 
Temporary password is WEareEGA (case sensitive)
 
We are still testing all of the features of the new site so additional features will come on line over the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience as we continue to upgrade your online experience.

IMO, one of the nicest features at the EGA Web Site, is the section with photographs and
information about EGA's permanent collection.      The pictures are small + if you are like me, can click on them and ENLARGE across your computer screen.   



I'm currently attempting the Small Basket Sampler, and finding the on-line photo very helpful!   The pattern is great; however, the photo makes stitching much easier.

March Designers Across America Project Correction

Marie Campbell, featured designer in the March 2012 issue of Needle Arts, has made a correction to her project Garden Path. The correction can be found on the homepage at www.egausa.org in the What's New area or contact Brad Cape at bcape@egausa.org for a paper copy.

If you have not yet ordered this beautiful project, the deadline is May 31. To order, send a check for $7 along with your name and address to EGA Headquarters.

The Embroiderers' Guild of America is seeking work for an exhibition of contemporary blackwork
embroidery that will be on display at EGA National Headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky from February 1 - June 29, 2013.
  
All members of the EGA, the Embroiderers Association of Canada, the Embroiderers' Guild UK, the Association of New Zealand Embroiderers Guilds, the Australia Embroiderers Guilds, and the American Needlepoint Guild are invited to enter. EGA Wants You

The national nominating committee is seeking qualified individuals to fill important positions for the future to further EGA's mission "to stimulate appreciation for and celebrate the heritage of embroidery by advancing the highest standards of excellence in its practice through education, exhibition, preservation, collection and research."

You have skills that can be useful at the chapter, region and national level. We want to know how best to fit your skills and interest into EGA at committee and board levels.

The EGA national resume form asks for your educational background, work history, and EGA involvement as well as an indication of your special areas of interest. In the narrative space, please tell us what particular skills you would bring to EGA.


Please assist this important committee is seeking qualified individuals to fill important positions for the future to further EGA's mission. Consider submitting your resume and encourage others to do the same.
