Stitch - in - Public Day

Note from Renee R:

Hello Everyone

Just a reminder that we are still planning to have Stitch In Public Day at the Lake County Public Library Central Branch, 1919 W 81st Ave (US 30) in Merrillville tomorrow from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m..

We will be in the lower level conference room. We have invited the public to join us for some stitching fellowship time. The Library tells me six people have officially signed up but they are expecting drop ins.

This is intended to be a very casual come and go as you please event. Stay for an hour...stay all day!

I hope you will informally share about the project you are working on and will talk about the EGA and our NANI Guild. We will have some beginner projects for anyone stopping by to try their hand at embroidery.

No formal snacks or food are planned so plan to bring a lunch and drinks if you are staying awhile. There is a small kitchenette in our room and some vending machines at the Library.

This is a great event to wear your name tag!

If you would like to bring a project for display that day...feel free. You will be responsible to take it home with you when you leave.

I'm excited to have some scheduled stitching time...I'm bringing my Mary Wigham SAL to work on! Hope to see you there!

Renee R

P.S. If you are planning to stitch in public somewhere else...would you let me know...I would like to gauge participation in SIP Day this year.
